Hi . . . we are Clinton and Elizabeth and we are family and founders of GoWild Africa. Between us, we’ve lived in or been associated with this country since the early 1980s. We love Kenya and want you to love it too! This is our passion and we hope that you can join us!
Meet the family
We’ve spent most of our working and private lives travelling the globe developing leaders and strategy for large organisations, whilst collecting prodigious amounts of beautiful art from around the world! But no matter where we travel we are always drawn back to Kenya!
We are also fortunate to be supported by an amazing team:
Louise – Reservations and Marketing
Louise originally hails from Scotland and in recent years has been bitten by the “Africa bug.” Louise was working in London with a well-known tour operator but the call of the wild was too strong. Louise is a certified Bronze Guide of Kenya and knows a thing or two about horses as well. Louise have been heavily involved in the set up and management of GoWild Africa. She is now living on a neighbouring farm and runs our reservations and marketing.
Paul – Farm manager and fabulous “jack of all trades”
Incredibly reliable and always willing to jump into any job head first, Paul has been a go to man for us for many years. Give him a job and you know it will be done efficiently without any fuss. He has even become a bit of an interior decorator, helping Elizabeth create her dream home to share with her guests.
Stephen – Gardener
Gardens like ours don’t happen by magic! A lot of hard work, dedication and love go into producing gardens that consistently take our guests breath away. An unexpected haven after the dry roads to get here… The vibrant colours are a result of his careful attention. If you have any questions he’d be more than happy to answer them.
Michael – Gardener
Together with Elizabeth and Stephen, Michael has created a haven for birds and a colourful heaven for visitors to relax and enjoy. It’s always worth popping into his nursery for inspiration – from the quotes he’s dotted around as well as the range of plants he is bringing on from seed.
Joseph – Chef
Joseph’s favourite time is being out in the bush, whipping up magic creations with nothing more than a charcoal oven and some African bush inspiration! Luckily for us (and you) he’s just at home in our round kitchen on the farm, serving up three courses for every meal and keeping everyone fed and happy.
Perris – Housekeeping
Peris is a local girl who came in early on as casual staff working on the farm. We quickly noticed her potential and have trained her in all aspects of housekeeping. She takes pride in her work and has recently started training in massage as well so if you have some achey muscles, go find Perris to sort them out!
Joyce – Housekeeping
Joyce is another lady from the local area that we spotted cutting grass. Her wide smile brightens up the farm and you’ll often hear her laugh as she goes about her job. Keep an eye out for her ever-changing hair styles as well!
Maggie – Housekeeping/ Asst Chef
Maggie is a whizz with puddings, cakes and breads and in her spare time she’s also part of the housekeeping team. If you have a special recipe you want to have, or any questions about the food do pop into the kitchen to see Maggie and Joseph.
Kiplangat – Head Syce
Kiplangat has worked as a polo syce (groom) for over 20 years and it is with great appreciation we have him on board at Olepangi. He is a magic horse whisperer, and keeps all our equines happy, fit and ready for anything.
