For a detailed write up of what it’s like to go on safari with GoWild Africa, read Zara’s blog. Zara runs Zara’s Planet, a global horse safari company – so we reckon she knows what she’s talking about!

We believe we offer the best Kenyan experiences at the best value, but why believe us. What follows are testimonials of some past guests!

Plum, Iona & Ramsay Hutton, Nanyuki

A fantastic stay, delicious food, good company & lovely riding. Thank you!

Aref Alawali, Nairobi,

Great game viewing, nice long rides, super company. All the best on your new venture and enjoy it! Very nice pulling elephant trunk from horse back. Really had all the riding I wanted. Merci

Richard Holman-Baird. Stonehaven, Scotland

A shame it was such fun, now I’ll have to come back with all the family – even the ‘donkey’ was brilliant!

Chris & Kibare, Nairobi

Had a fantastic two days at Olepangi Farm. Such a beautiful setting with gracious and fun hosts. Loved the rooms, the big fig tree and the great service. Hope to see elephants on our next visit because we will definitely be back.

Val, Paul, Ina & Gabriela Maasdoup, Zimbabwe, Kenya

Wonderful weekend with five week old baby on her first bush trip. Thank you for everything, what a gorgeous place, peaceful yet alive.

Mathew – Maine, Nairobi, Kitale

Elizabeth, Clinton & Stewart, thank you for the lovely stay at Olepangi. It’s a pleasure to be in the place after hearing so much about the farm whilst in Nairobi. Now I have serious ‘stable envy’ and would love to mimic the design on our family farm in Kitale. I’ll be returning with a tape measure and sketch book and friends and family for your riding safaris! I’m a big fan of the architecture and design. As someone who was raised in glass thatched round houses, I absolutely love the way your Round House re- imagines the traditional design, and with one heck of a view of Lolldaigas! Often a fun dinner in the Party House and sound sleep thanks to the seriously comfortable bed in Speke Cottage, I’m feeling ready for a good day of polo. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the valley with the Lolldiga hills in the distance was just the way to start the day. Now hopefully the great start I’ve had here at Olepangi will continue through to four chukkas at 12.30 and with luck I’ll score an obscene amount of goals and thoroughly trounce Elizabeth’s team, (here’s hoping…)

Captain Andrew Wilczynski (BATUK)

The perfect weekend getaway. The hospitality, setting, food and riding have all left a feeling of wanting to return. A fantastic way to be introduced to the bush.

Natalie McComb, Uganda

Such a pleasure to enjoy stunning Olepangi, the work you have done and the outcome you have achieved is outstanding. Beautiful Lolldaiga’s, like being held in the hand of God, thrilled to see Cheetah, plus all the other lovely game. Really well done to Stu, Louise, Virginia and Molly for a great safari, and to Elizabeth and Clinton for a vision coming true! And thanks to my lovely Itsu!

Yvonne, Robert & Carmen

What a magical stay, we enjoyed the warm welcome, lovely company, fabulous food and of course the company of the brave horses. We went on safari into Lolldaiga’s and spent some special time with the elephants, chased cheetah’s and saw a leopard hunting some gazelles. It really couldn’t have been more perfect. Jim I am sad to leave you, you looked after me throughout and look really cute when you are asleep. But I’m sure we will be back so until then farewell!! Xx

Dan & Beth Lincoln USA

We had a delightful time, nice people, great horses, beautiful land. This is a great concept, please keep it going. Next time we will do the tented safari, but the stag at the Farm House was particularly nice. It was a unique opportunity to learn out African farming & ranching – very different, very nice. Thanks.

 Moon, Nairobi

29 December 2014 – Arran & Cat x Leeds, UK

Thank you so much for a wonderful week, we can’t think of anywhere we would rather spend Christmas than here! We had an amazing time with fabulous hosts, gorgeous horses and amazing food. We would never had thought you hadn’t been in this business for years, our time here has been seamlessly organized and hosted. Special thanks to Zeus and Mfupi for an amazing safari experience. Arran has now been fully broken in!! We are already planning for next trip and will spread the word about this fabulous place when we get home. You never know, next time it might actually be out honeymoon!  Thank you to everyone who had made this week fab!

Diana – Scotland.

I agree with Arran & Cat, it has been a brilliant experience. Aesthetics, (the amazing architecture,) and horses, (the 5 day safari.) What could be better? Thanks to Elizabeth and Clinton for being such superb hosts, and to Louise and Laura for always being efficient and cheerful. The staff in the kitchen and on safari have always been helpful. Thanks to Richard our Safari Guide & his deep knowledge of African Bush.

Frances, Brad, Judith and Rachel Boyd, Canada/ Egypt

We really enjoyed our stay. The only complaint is that it was too short! The setting and buildings are lovely and the riding was wonderful. I enjoyed learning about being an equine vet from Lucy and helping to take care of Coco’s cut leg. Hopefully we will be able to come back someday. Thanks so much.

Dear Clinton, Elizabeth and ALL the staff here at Olepangi Farm. Thank you for introducing me to Kenya and for making me feel so at home and welcome in this beautiful place. It has certainly been a trip I have loved and will remember – though for sure will not be my last. Hopefully you will not remember me as ‘the angel of death,’ as I have loved looking after the horses and dogs, both riding and vetting! This place is testament to all the hard work and dedication you have put in and I know it will be a huge and exciting success! Thank you again so much and hopefully see you all very soon. All the best Ellie xx (Volunteer)

Dear Clinton and Elizabeth. How wonderful to be with you here in Kenya again! Olepangi takes my breath away and what you have achieved here in such a short time is nothing less than miraculous. You are an inspiration. Through your vision, design and hard work this land has been freed to explore its full potential, and although I know you both well enough to be sure it will only develop and distinguish itself even further, as I sit here today I can’t imagine a more beautiful home. Well done. I am so happy for you and proud of what this place is now! Thank you for having me. It is another stay book visit for me amidst the demands of my ‘Mountain Madness’ tour this stop with you in Laikepia is an enchanted garden on calm. So lovely to be with you both again, many thanks and always looking forward to the next time we are together. 1. Mount Meru tick; 2. Mount Kilimanjaro tick; 3. Lewa Marathon tick; 4. Mount Kenya…. Love Rob Baigrie
